SCM CONNECTIONS UNVEILS "THINKSCM"
A PROPRIETARY AND REVOLUTIONY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM FOR FORECASTING

SAPPHIRE NOW attendees are first to experience live demos showcasing new capabilities

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — May 16, 2017   SCM Connections (SCMC) unveiled a new division of the company, thinkSCM, at the SAP SAPPHIRE NOW and ASUG Annual Conference in Orlando this week. thinkSCM will focus on helping clients get more out of their existing data using a proprietary Artificial Intelligence system.

“Our goal at thinkSCM is to get more out of companies’ existing data using a proprietary Artificial Intelligence system which gives better forecasts compared to standard and advanced stat models. It also gives various insights of customers such as whom to concentrate on and where to spend marketing dollars. thinkSCM also serves companies with the Integration hub and project accelerators for SAP IBP,” stated Patrick Green, Partner, SCM Connections.

thinkSCM is made up of three parts – Predictive Analytics, IBP Integration Hub and Project Accelerators.

Predictive Analytics
thinkSCM will utilize the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning to create a more accurate sales forecast for their clients’ business. Their proprietary algorithm finds and applies the data that’s truly driving forecast (hint: It’s not just sales history). They are then able to analyze highly complex data sets, consider multiple data inputs and apply multiple variables to interpret correlations simply not available in other forecasting methodologies. thinkSCM can increase forecast accuracy by up to 11% over traditional statistical models.

IBP Integration Hub
thinkSCM will bring data in and out of IBP systems quickly and easily through the Integration Hub. Their web-based sales input app gives sales teams a quick and easy way to view and update their sales numbers in IBP, allowing for more accurate sales data which leads to better forecasts and lower inventory.  The HCI automation tool allows for more efficient and effective management of HCI systems, which means more IBP up time for planners and less time wondering if the jobs finished on time.  The Integration Hub provides a way to connect with non-SAP Cloud systems to update key figure data back and forth to SAP IBP. This allows for the client to concentrate on the number, while thinkSCM handles the integration. The IBP Intergration Hub also features thinkSCM’s Geocoder, providing latitude and longitude details of locations with one click.

Project Accelerators
thinkSCM likes to get things right the first time and leverage their comprehensive knowledge to get it right each and every time after. So if they spot a system gap, missing functionality, or think of a better way to get projects finished on time, they will find a way to weaponize a better answer. Examples include: IBP Functional Add Ons, IBP Data Management and Validation, APO Technical Enhancements, Project methodologies and Industry Solutions.

SCM CONNECTIONS' MANAGING PARTNER TO SPEAK AT MASTERING SUPPLY CHAIN & PROCUREMENT WITH SAP SOLUTIONS IN SOUTH AFRICA

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — April 25, 2017   SCM Connections’ (SCMC) Partner, Michael Raftery, will be speaking at the Mastering Supply Chain & Procurement with SAP Solutions conference, happening May 8-10 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Raftery is the opening keynote speaker on May 9 and will speak again that afternoon during the breakout sessions on system and process optimization. Raftery’s role in this conference provides SCMC the opportunity to showcase their expertise on an international stage.

Raftery’s keynote address, “Back to the Future: How Disruptive Technology Lets You Run a Supply Chain without Limits” addresses how an entire generation of supply chain professionals have grown up being told what to do.  Batch jobs, overnight runs and weekly solves – these limitations defined the modern planning process.  But what happens when these restrictions disappear?  How are you supposed to plan without IT telling you what you can and can’t do?  Today’s supply chain planning teams need to think about how they do their jobs in new and innovative ways.  IT organizations need to re-think what role their jobs play in this new world. Attendees will learn how to manage the change coming to their organization, and position their team to make the most of this technological disruptor.

Raftery’s afternoon session, “Network Optimization in APO/IBP – Making the Most of Your Least” will focus on network optimization utilizing a bi-modal planning process that has the potential to unlock capacity, find efficiencies and drop value straight to the bottom line.  In this presentation, Raftery will demonstrate exactly how to setup your supply chain planning applications to realize these values.

As an industry expert and thought leader for strategic direction and the continuous improvement of consumer products supply chain planning process, Raftery brings over 12 years of experience at the architect level.  Raftery specializes in Integrated Business Planning and Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), SCM Supply Networking Planning (SNP), and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS).
